We got this calendar for a birthday gift for someone who has a few pet rats. They loved it. The pictures are really cute. It's hard to find rat items in stores so I was happy to see had a calendar like this.
p.s. Rats make great pets if you are thinking of getting your child a caged animal. They are much smarter and more sociable than hamsters or other rodents, and their cages don't smell quite as strong either. If you have the patience, you can even train them to do little tricks. The rat we had many years ago even befriended our cat and they would take naps together. I'm not a fan of the white ones with red eyes (just my preference, they remind me of lab rats, lol!) but the soft gray ones are adorable, or the ones that are white and black with dark eyes. They need companionship so getting two is the best idea unless you plan to play with them every single day and give them some attention and snuggle time every day. They are very clean, always washing themselves up. They are nothing like "city rats" that live outdoors. They are friendly and easy to care for. )
The cover of this rat calendar is of a mouse!! Is it too much for the publisher to make sure they have the right animal??
This calendar is beautiful and whimsical. I would buy it again if 2012 comes around again! Lovely photography great for display.
